Booking & Cancellation Policy

All tours are subject to weather and sea conditions. The captain reserves the right to cancel a departure at short notice if conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable for a boat tour.

If a tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, passengers will receive a full refund or may choose to reschedule for another available departure. Please note that availability on later tours is not guaranteed, and passengers are advised to contact us in advance to check availability and secure a place.

Whale and dolphin sightings cannot be guaranteed. In the event that no whales or dolphins are sighted during the tour, passengers will receive a complimentary ticket valid for another whale watching tour with Whale Watching Hólmavík (Láki II). The complimentary ticket must be presented when booking a new tour. Availability on later departures cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure will be refunded in full. If a guest cancels within 24 hours of departure or fails to arrive on time, the full tour price will be charged.

Whale Watching Hólmavík reserves the right to make changes to scheduled departures when necessary. In such cases, we will notify all affected passengers as soon as possible via email and/or phone.

Passengers are kindly requested to arrive at Hólmavík harbour at least 30 minutes before departure to allow time for check-in and safety instructions.

A minimum number of passengers is required for each departure. If the minimum number is not reached, Whale Watching Hólmavík reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the tour. In such cases, passengers will be offered a refund or the option to move to another available departure.

Gift cards issued by Whale Watching Hólmavík are non-refundable and valid until the expiration date stated on the voucher.

Private tours must be paid in full four weeks prior to departure and are non-refundable unless cancelled by Whale Watching Hólmavík due to weather or safety conditions.
