Terms and Conditions

All tours are subject to weather and sea conditions. The captain reserves the right to cancel a tour at short notice if conditions are deemed unsafe.
In the event of cancellation due to weather or sea conditions, tickets will be refunded in full, or guests may reschedule for another day. Availability on alternative tours is not guaranteed. Guests must contact us in advance to check availability and secure a place.
If no whales or dolphins are sighted during a tour, guests will receive a complimentary ticket for another whale watching tour with Whale Watching Hólmavík. The complimentary ticket must be presented when booking a new tour. Availability on alternative tours is not guaranteed, and guests must contact us in advance to secure a place.
Cancellations made up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time will be refunded in full. Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure, or failure to arrive on time, will be charged the full price of the tour.
Whale Watching Hólmavík reserves the right to make changes to scheduled tours when necessary. Guests will be informed of any changes via email and/or phone.
Guests are requested to arrive at the harbour at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
A minimum number of bookings is required for each departure for the tour to operate.
Gift cards issued by Whale Watching Hólmavík are non-refundable and valid until the expiration date stated on the voucher.
Private tours must be paid in full no later than four weeks prior to departure and are non-refundable.
